Newcastle vs Arsenal: Three players to watch out for

Newcastle haven’t lost a single game since their 1-3 loss to Brighton at the start of the September. They have been spectacular not just in the Premier League but also in the Champions League, having defeated the likes of Paris Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund in the past few weeks.

Their 3-0 thumping of Manchester United in the mid-week EFL clash is also the testimony of their excellence this season.

On November 4, they will be facing the sturdy Arsenal side. The Gunners are unbeaten in the Premier League this season. However, they did lose in the mid-week against West Ham, which was their first loss across all competitions this season.

Mikel Arteta would be trying his best to get back to winning ways but it won’t be easy at St. James Park, where fans would be buzzing in support of the Magpies. It’s said to be one of the most difficult stadiums to play at, in the Premier League.

Here are the three players to watch out for, in the upcoming blockbuster clash:

1. Callum Wilson (Newcastle)

The English striker is in the form of his life. He has already scored seven goals in nine Premier League matches this season. Wilson is a menace inside the box and could create problems for the Arsenal defense.

His two goals in the previous match against Wolves were key in their 2-2 draw at the Molineux. The 31-year-old is always at the right place at the right time and everything that he touches at the moment turns into a goal, so Arsenal must be wary of him.

2. Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal)

Another English striker, who made it to the headlines last week was Eddie Nketiah. The Arsenal striker netted a superb hattrick in Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Sheffield United. It’s hard to fill in the shoes of injured Gabriel Jesus but the lethal striker is doing his best in the attacking regions.

Nketiah scored all types of goals in the hattrick. From close range tap in to long range finish - it had it all. The 24-year-old netted his first hattrick and it couldn’t have gotten better. However, his real test would be at James Park against Magpies on Saturday night.

3. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

The Arsenal sensation is just getting better with every passing year. He already has four goals and three assists in the nine Premier League games. Saka’s consistency and the ability to perform in tough situations could assist the Gunners in getting an ideal result against Eddie Howe’s men.

His control over the ball, crosses from the right flank and link up play with the teammates is just outstanding. He could give Daniel Burn a tough time on the flank.

Seven points separate these two sides at the moment. Howe would be putting his best foot forward to cut down the gap, whereas Arteta would want to maintain the unbeaten streak in the Premier League. It promises to be a fascinating clash in Tyneside.
